Job Description:

This position is eligible for up to two days remote work per week.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Promote Salve Regina University through a full range of admissions activities including recruitment, outreach, travel, admissions decision-making, post admissions follow-up of prospective students to the University and specific projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Management of Undergraduate Recruitment Initiatives
    • Working with Dean of Admissions and VP for Enrollment Management, develop strategy for recruitment travel and outreach with a goal of expanding Salve's market reach and reputation while utilizing data and professional expertise
    • Oversee the recruitment activities of the undergraduate admissions staff including researching and evaluating new market potential, goal setting, and expectations in a territory management model
    • Set and track yearly goals for recruitment staff to help reach overall enrollment goals in consultation with Dean of Admissions and VP for Enrollment Management
    • Utilize Slate CRM to manage recruitment travel and events and create and run reports as necessary
    • Work with Office of Advancement to plan and execute regional receptions for prospective and accepted students and work closely with staff assigned to Alumni Admissions Volunteer Program to assign college fair coverage to volunteers with an overall goal of growing program participation and reach
    • Serve as a member of the Office of Admissions senior management team providing leadership and oversight of Admissions staff and activities
  • Manage assigned recruitment territory
    • Regular outreach to prospects through phone, email and text
    • Meet and counsel individual candidates and families
    • Track daily activities through CRM system and provide regular progress reports and analysis of efficacy
    • Develop relationships with influencers including school counselors, teachers, independent counselors and community leaders
    • Give regular presentations to prospective students and families
    • 6-8 weeks of recruitment travel in the fall and 1-2 weeks of recruitment travel in the spring, with potential for overnight stays
    • Must be able to lift and carry recruitment materials and travel extensively
    • Must be willing to work some Saturdays, Sundays and evenings
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Special admissions projects designed to enhance admission/retention efforts as assigned

LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:

Valid driver's license required and own vehicle.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

The incumbent is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.


Requirements:

Required :
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills required with a positive attitude toward work.
  • Must possess a high regard for diplomacy, loyalty, confidentiality, and punctuality.
  • Must have demonstrated public relations skills with the ability to work effectively with faculty, students and a wide variety of administrative offices.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs is required.
  • Must be a self-starter and problem solver with proven managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of an office team.
  • Must have the ability to handle stress in a busy office atmosphere.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Preferred :

Master's degree preferred, supplemented by relevant experience (5 years minimum) in admissions or higher education.
