This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. Position Purpose

The Coordinator of Exchange and Sponsored Student Programs advises J-1 exchange, sponsored, and IEP international students. Maintains student and school/program information help in federal government database ( SEVIS ). Serves as a DSO and RO for F-1 and J-1 programs. Ensures compliance with sponsorship, partner school agreement, and SEVIS regulation. Regularly communicates with sponsors and partner organizations to bring students to campus and provide assistance during their time at UCM . Coordinates undergraduate ( FTF, transfer, exchange, and sponsored student) orientation.

Bachelor’s degree in the following field(s) of study: Higher Education Administration,
International Studies, Communication, Management, Public Relations, or related studies

Master’s degree in the following field(s) of study: College Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education Administration, International Studies, Communication or related field preferred.

Formal training (specify): NAFSA Training in area of responsibility, i.e., F-1 Advising, J-1
Advising, Education Abroad etc.

Experience

1. Three (3) years of progressively more responsible experience in the area of international
education, student affairs, and intercultural intelligence or cultural humanity administering programs and services.
2. Three (3) years of experience as a Designated School Official ( DSO ) preferred.
3. Three (3) years of experience as a J1 Responsible Official (RO) preferred.
4. Previous experience in organizational leadership in international student and scholar services preferred.
