The Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Associate Director of Academics to join our esteemed MBA for Executives Program. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role is pivotal in overseeing the academic curriculum and ensuring that students successfully navigate through the five terms of the program in compliance with campus policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Oversight: Manage and coordinate the academic curriculum planning for the MBA for Executives Program. Ensure the smooth delivery of coursework and adherence to academic policies and standards.
Faculty Support: Collaborate with faculty to coordinate the ordering and delivery of textbooks, course packets, and other instructional materials. Provide support for faculty in curriculum delivery and address inquiries related to course information, updates, scheduling, and evaluations.
Student Advising: Serve as the primary academic advisor for students, addressing their academic concerns and acting as a liaison between students and faculty. Engage with classroom representatives and academic student leadership to support student needs.
Faculty Selection: Assist in the selection process for faculty teaching elective courses, ensuring alignment with program goals and student needs.
Administrative Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for key campus offices, including the Office of the Registrar, Billing & Payment Services, and the UC Berkeley Graduate Division. Foster effective communication and collaboration with these departments.
Collaborative Partnerships: In collaboration with the Executive Director, build and maintain strong relationships with campus partners, including the Career Management Team, Admissions, Financial Aid, and other UC Berkeley Graduate Programs.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience in academic program management or administration within a higher education setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and administrative staff.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proven ability to foster collaborative relationships and work in a team-oriented environment.
