Job Summary/Basic Function
A University Registered Nurse works in collaboration with other Student Affairs Professionals and Academic Departments to enhance students' experience and success by promoting health and wellness. The University Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing services to all eligible students. The University Nurse will need to be autonomous at times and is required to possess the clinical experience to assess, evaluate, treat, or refer to a provider as needed.

This is a temporary position from October 2024 - March 2025.

22.5 - 37.5 hours/week. Full-time (37.5 hours/week) preferred; however flexible work schedule at discretion of management

Hourly Rate: $30.18

Required Qualifications

• One-year professional nursing experience.
• Current PA State Board Registered Nursing License.
• Experience performing complete patient assessments.
• CPR & AED certification.
• Experience using electronic medical records.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ethics and confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Successful interview.
• Successful completion of three background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience in ER, Family Practice, or College Health.
• Phlebotomy

Job Description


Essential Functions

• Walking/Standing for extended periods of time.
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Flu clinics/Health Fairs will be conducted outdoors.
• Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse and to perform essential nursing duties.
• Be able to wear full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Exposure to disease/infection on a daily basis.
