Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of the PGA Golf Management Program works closely with and supports the director, filling in with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the director. This position is a fiscal year, non-tenure track, instructor level faculty position. The PGA Golf Management Assistant Director is required to hold and maintain their Class A membership in the PGA, using skills, knowledge and credentials to instruct PGA Golf Management courses, up to 18 credit hours per year, and provide comprehensive player development to PGA students. The Assistant Director will lead the work experience portfolio assessment process. This position will assist with outreach efforts to ensure opportunities for student placement in appropriate internships as required by the PGA Management Program, and to assist students and industry partners to facilitate student placement upon graduation. This position has responsibility for adhering to PGA program accreditation standards and assisting in the PGA accreditation process. The Assistant Director will also assist with recruiting and retention efforts for the program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters Business Administration, or M.S. in any business discipline or relevant field
• PGA Class A Member in good standing
• Two (2) years of experience in related field
• Experience delivering individual and group golf instruction
• Experience communicating effectively orally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching in a variety of business and golf industry related university courses.
• Experiential learning and team-teaching experience
• Experience working with industry professionals and companies, integrating their challenges into class scenarios and projects
• Excellent teaching evaluations
• Experience with PGA accredited university program

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Must be willing to travel and work weekends as needed
• Ability to provide in person golf instruction
