Position Summary:
This is a full-time (academic year appointment) tenure-track position for the College of Law's Boise location, at the rank of Assistant Professor. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching Property Law and other related courses determined in consultation with the dean, with potential areas of need including Administrative Law, Environmental Law, Housing Law, Land Use Law, Native Land Law, Natural Resources Law, Tribal Cultural Property Law, Urban Development Law, and Water Law. The faculty member will be expected to develop mentoring relationships with law students, advise students on curricular and co-curricular activities, and develop a scholarly, outreach, and engagement agenda that will enrich the scholarly and legal communities and those they serve. The faculty member will also represent the law school through participation in scholarly conferences, as well as through publication in national and/or international scholarly journals, which may include interdisciplinary placements. The faculty member will also attend faculty meetings and serve on committees at the University and/or College level
Minimum Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited school or the equivalent.
- Experience teaching, or related experience.
- Experience in creating a safe, welcoming, and dynamic learning environment of belonging for all students, or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A record of excellence in scholarship, or related experience.
- At least three years of post-J.D. practice, clerking, or teaching experience.
- Expertise in the area of Property Law.
