Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Adjunct Instructor, Building Trades

Building Trades Job Description:
To conduct classes in the theory and practice of building trades, including mathematics. Skill areas include: proper use of tools, machines, and materials; electrical safety; building maintenance; plumbing; and carpentry.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess: an Associate’s Degree or appropriate educational credits, certifications, Bachelor’s of Science in Career and Technical Education, or experience to enable satisfactory performance and instruction in the designated area of building trades; five (5) years of relevant professional experience; demonstrated ability to teach; demonstrated knowledge of Internet navigation, email access and word processing skills. Teaching takes place during evenings and would be located in our Troy location.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in a related field; experience working with educationally and economically disadvantaged adult populations; and Certified OSHA 10-hour Trainer.
The hourly rate for Adjunct Instructor is $44.00.
