Job Summary:
Responsible for student instruction and supervision in patient care areas whereby students perform direct patient care activities. Faculty are responsible for the delivery and safety of care provided by students, while adhering to clinical site and patient care standards. Faculty will work directly with lead faculty to meet course and program objectives. Responsible for upholding and supporting course and program policies.
Uses technology-based instruction to sustain the specific courses and curricula mandated by the educational mission and goals of the College.
REQUIRED IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION
This course is held on site at the Benton Harbor, Michigan campus.
Essential Functions:
1. Instructs students in assigned classes/clinical groups. 2. Directs students to Student Services, Lead Faculty Advisor, or the Nursing Department Chair if academic guidance or counseling is required. 3. Maintains academic and clinical practice standards. 4. Monitors student progress. 5. Keeps adequate and accurate records. 6. Completes student clinical evaluations on a weekly basis and at the end of course completion.

7. Other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Department Chair, Nursing and Full-Time Faculty mentor, each part-time faculty member is responsible for satisfying the educational, administrative, and fiscal requirements inherent in his/her position.
Job Specifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, MSN preferred. Current Michigan RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Minimum 2 years' experience of full-time, non-teaching work experience in a relevant health field. Desire commitment to the college mission and guiding principles.
