Part-Time Instructor, Diesel Technology - FY 2025
Job Description
Responsibilities of a Part Time Diesel Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:
- Lecture and Lab instruction for Diesel Technology
courses.
- Provide Lab Safety Training.
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by
course outcomes.
- Provide advisement to students.
- Some program and or curriculum development may be
requested.
- Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as
requested.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in the Diesel Heavy Truck/Equipment
Industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science Degree in Diesel
Technologies
- Cummins/Caterpillar/Detroit Engine Certified
- Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body
and/or workforce
- Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
- Knowledge in Canvas or other Learning Management
Systems
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Schedule: Diesel Technology courses are taught at the North Las Vegas Campus, in-person and are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekend.
Salary: $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
