About the Opportunity
Northeastern University's College of Professional Studies invites applicants for a part-time faculty position to teach in the Master of Professional Studies Analytics, located on-ground in Vancouver.
Responsibilities:
The Master of Professional Studies in Analytics is looking for a part-time faculty teaching courses across the program with special emphasis on applied machine learning, artificial intelligence and experiential network addressing the business challenges in the industry. Instructional areas include, but are not limited to, analytics, with expertise in probability and statistics, data exploration, data visualization, and predictive analytics. The mission of the Master of Professional Studies in Analytics program is to foster foundational analytics skills among working professionals, including preparing data, conducting data analysis such as regression, forecasting, optimization, data visualization, and data story telling. This degree prepares students for entry- and mid-level roles in analytics, such as data analyst, data specialist, database analyst, program analyst, research analyst, or research associate. These roles are general analyst roles and are not specific to any professional domains or disciplines (e.g., business, marketing, and engineering). The degree is deeply rooted in experiential learning that is closely linked to professional applications in the work force.
Qualifications:
Masters in an aligned discipline and analytics-industry experience.Preference for candidates with a PhD in a sciences field, or similar. Demonstration of teaching at the graduate level (on-ground) is strongly preferred.
Supervision:
This position will report to the Faculty Director of the Domain Analytics and Enterprise Intelligence.
