Part-Time Assistant Men's Soccer Coach (71116)

Description:
The Department of Athletics and Recreation is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Part-time Assistant Men's Soccer Coach. This role requires a positive and energetic leader with a strong ability to teach, motivate, develop, and recruit student-athletes.

Reporting to the Head Men's Soccer Coach, the Assistant Coach will assist in developing, organizing and administering all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III soccer program. This is a part-time stipend position, paid bi-weekly.

The Assistant Coach must be able to build positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff and campus partners. They will help support the athletic, academic and personal development of the Men's Soccer team with a commitment to sportsmanship, respect, diversity, equity and inclusion.

The Department of Athletics and Recreation is committed to providing a wide range of activities and services that assist Pratt students of various backgrounds and abilities in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Pratt has an athletics history dating back to the founding of the institution in 1887. Pratt is an NCAA Division III institution and will join the Atlantic mEast Conference as full members in the 2024-25 academic year.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Coach with various aspects of coaching, such as planning and executing practices, video review and opponent scouting, and game planning
  • Drive the team to practices and games in Pratt Institute vans
  • Aid in prospective student-athlete recruitment
  • Follow NCAA Division III rules and regulations and pass annual Coaches Exam
  • Perform other duties as assigned




Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Soccer Coaching and/or Playing experience
  • Availability to work nights and weekends for games and early morning practices is a must
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to drive a 12-passenger van
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment
  • AED/CPR/First Aid Certification

Preferred Qualifications
  • Soccer coaching experience at the collegiate level
  • USSF / USCA Coaching Licenses
  • Goalkeeper coaching a plus
  • Collegiate recruiting experience

Salary

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The salary for this part-time position is $6000 spanning approximately 20 weeks across fall and spring seasons.
