Brief Summary of Work for this Position: This position provides support for assignments related to the functions of the Space Planning and Management unit located within the office of Institutional Research and Planning (IRP).

All general reporting of university space data relies on information gathered through this position. The University Space Planner and other leadership across the campus community make decisions based on sound data analysis provided. The University Space Planner will gain insight to provide senior administration with space solutions and recommendations in forecasting and long-term planning.

The position assists in collecting data elements, maintaining and updating the university space management database. The Space Data & Reporting Analyst will work collaboratively with full time staff and student employees who are members of the space planning team, helping to develop and implement data collection methods, best practice documentation and procedures to systematically collect, update and measure data integrity from campus building audits and corresponding data.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience



Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience: The preferred candidate:
  • Possesses strong technical aptitude and the ability to translate data and information into reports from Intelligence within Asset Management (AiM), the home of UNCW physical inventory spaces
  • Demonstrates project management skills.
  • Possesses the ability to organize and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, AIM Asset Inventory Management system, or other similar software applications
  • Experience working in a university or college setting.
