Position Description
The School of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Texas State University invites applicants for TWO full-time (nine-month) tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2025.
Responsibilities include high-quality research, undergraduate and graduate level teaching, and university, professional, and community service.
This position is subject to availability of funds.
Required Qualifications
• Earned Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related field prior to start date; those who hold a J.D. only will not be considered
• Evidence of peer-reviewed publication
Preferred Qualifications
• Potential for high-quality and sustained scholarly productivity
• Potential for seeking and/or securing external grant funding
• Evidence of effective teaching that serves School needs
• Potential to collaborate with CJ agencies
