Job Description:
The Department of Marketing at Fairfield University invites applications for Assistant Professor in Business Communications, a tenure-track position in the Dolan School of Business to begin Fall 2025. Candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing a PhD or DBA in fields related to business communication before the start date of the position. In addition, candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching and a demonstrated ability to publish high-quality relevant research in peer reviewed journals. The appointment requires teaching classes at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including BUSN 1101 Messaging and Persuasion: Effective Business Communication . Teaching assignments may include teaching day, evening, Fairfield and/or Bellarmine campus, face-to-face, hybrid, online, and/or Saturday classes, as needed. Strong applicants should be versatile, with an ability to teach a variety of business communication or marketing courses, and should show a commitment to innovation and demonstrated excellence in using technology in the classroom. Candidates with business experiences are especially encouraged to apply .
