Description
Columbia Basin College ('CBC' or the 'College') seeks a Program Support Supervisor 1 to independently plan, organize and prioritize work in support of the Career & Technical Education Department. This position directly assists the Dean in their related duties and activities and acts as a liaison between the Division(s) and outside organizations. This position reports to the Dean for Career & Technical Education.

Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate program activities with relevant agencies and departments, promote the program on campus and with external organizations, and represent the program at meetings, including on behalf of the Dean when requested;
- Use advanced computer skills for word processing, graphics, database management, and spreadsheets; oversee the preparation of reports and publications, including mailers, brochures, and programs;
- Advise students, staff, program participants, and the public from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds on program content, policies, and activities, recommending alternatives as needed; regularly confer with off-campus organizations and agencies to interpret and implement program and institutional policies;
- Develop and manage program budgets, including projecting income and expenditures, maintaining records, processing funds, and handling requisitions, invoices, and payroll, while identifying and correcting any issues;
- Assist in devising and implementing new department procedures and exercise independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations;
- Establish work priorities and ensure deadlines are met; order supplies and equipment, arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and maintain safety data sheets and hazardous waste records, scheduling removal as needed;
- Lead and direct the work of other classified personnel; train new employees; assign and schedule work;
- Proctor School of CTE industry specific credential examinations, ensuring adherence to testing protocols and maintaining the integrity of the examination process; and
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; and
- Three (3) years of administrative support experience working in position(s) such as an administrative assistant, secretary, program coordinator, program support or related field.
Equivalent education/experience.

Technology Proficiency : Proficient in utilizing various technologies, including office productivity software, learning management systems, and other educational technologies relevant to the position.
Terms of Employment
This position is a full-time classified staff position. This position is overtime eligible and the typical work hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; however, must be available to work a flexible schedule when prior notice is given by the College. This position is available immediately.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility including having the ability to move materials on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc. and travel between buildings on campus. Manual dexterity and coordination are required to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Usual office working conditions. The noise level in the work area is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises.
