Summary:
The College of Lake County is currently searching for an Enrollment Services Specialist* to join the Adult Education Department. The Enrollment Services Specialist, under the direct supervision of the Enrollment and Testing Manager, provides intake, admissions, testing, registration, and other enrollment services to HSD (formerly GED) and ESL students, and assists in the post-testing of students. This position enters student application, other student information, and test scores in the DAISI and PeopleSoft systems. *This is a grant funded position; continued employment in this position is based on external funding sources.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of four (4) years of work experience OR an Associate's degree with two (2) years of work experience OR a Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year of work experience
- Proficiency in using technology such as iPads, tablets, laptops, desktops, webcams, etc.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suites and Office 365 applications such as SharePoint, Teams, and Forms.
- Experience working with diverse populations and committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities; demonstrate sensitivity to and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.Fridays: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Will require 1 evening shift a week: 12 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.(Hours may also vary due to the needs of the college; additional nights and/or Saturday mornings might apply)*Position reports to Grayslake and Lakeshore Campus on designated weekdays. Conducts enrollment and testing services at the Southlake Campus and community sites based on monthly schedule.

Summary of Essential Functions:
Department Operations: 65%1) Provides admissions, intake, enrollment, and testing services
2) Proctors pre-testing (placement) and post-testing following the rules, policies, and procedures of the state (ICCB) and Basic Skills test instrument database (e.g. CASAS & eTests)
3) Administers electronic assessments (e.g. eTests) for on-campus and community site testing events. Enters student information and test results into DAISI, PeopleSoft, and TopsPro.
4) Occasionally administers paper/pencil assessments, scans the answer sheets for upload into the Basic Skills test instrument database (e.g. TopsPro). Checks database if all test scores for the students were read by the scanner and transferred to the test database.
5) Organizes and maintains all testing materials and files
6) Works closely with Data Operations department by preparing, organizing, and maintaining all student and testing records during the intake and testing process
7) Reports requests in accordance with departmental and grant mandated ADA guidelines
8) Participates in planning and review sessions with concerning testing events and enrollment services
9) Interdepartmental collaboration and communication within Adult Education and ESL division (Faculty, Student Success Team, and Outreach & Recruitment); as well as other student services departments within the college.
10) Assist supervisor with hiring, onboarding, and training of new Enrollment and Testing Center staff
11) Provides leadership and guidance to Enrollment Services Assistants and Student Support Assistants; ensures that pertinent meeting information and procedures are properly disseminated and delegated to all assistants
12) Participates in CASAS and ICCB training and webinars/informational sessions
Customer Service: 30%1) Provides daily Adult Education and ESL general information by responding to student, faculty, staff, and community inquiries on the phone, in-person, and via email
2) Assists students with CLC application, intake, and other enrollment forms
3) Enrolls students in classes during priority and regular registration
4) Communicates and facilitates the understanding of ICCB testing and Adult Ed/ESL registration process to students and faculty through emails, phone calls, text messages, and class visits
