Position Details
The Department of Information and Technology Management (ITM) at The University of Tampa's Sykes College of Business invites applicants for the tenure track assistant professor in Business Information Technology to start in fall 2025.
The Business Information Technology Program prepares the students for the role of Business Analyst. Responsibilities include teaching three four-credit hour courses at graduate and undergraduate levels during each semester in the business analysis area, such as Information Technology Business Concepts, Technology Solutions for Business, and Business Database Technology. The faculty is also expected to be involved in publishing articles in high quality peer reviewed journals and engage in service and student involvement opportunities at the department, college, and university levels.
The ITM department offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in business information technology, cybersecurity, management information systems, and financial enterprise systems. This is in addition to master's degrees in business analytics and information and technology management. The ITM department is housed in a newly constructed state-of-the-art technology building with advanced cybersecurity labs and computer classrooms. The Sykes College of Business is accredited by AACSB.
The candidate must have a Ph.D. or ABD from an AACSB/ABET accredited school in the field of management information systems, Computer Information Systems or related fields.
