The University of Arizona seeks to fill four (4) attorney positions in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC).  Depending on prior work experience, the selected candidates will be positioned as either an Assistant General Counsel or Associate General Counsel, focusing on the following areas: Higher education-related international matters; Distance and online higher education matters; Transactional matters; and, Intellectual property matters

Successful candidates also may have responsibilities in a diverse range of additional practice areas common to higher education institutions, such as student life and academics, compliance, litigation strategy and oversight, labor and employment, governance, public procurement, public records, privacy, civil rights, research, accreditation, risk management, law enforcement, real estate, public finance, administrative law, threat assessment and student health and safety, hearings, policy and procedure development, information technology, legislative, and constitutional matters.

Please note that while the on-line posting states a suggested salary range, with the specialized legal experience we are seeking, such as international law and/or specialization in online higher education matters, the determination of salary will be based on experience.
