Temporary Vehicle Driver

Department: Facilities Operations - Motor Pool - 410300

Minimum Qualifications
Sufficient experience to operate assigned vehicles or equipment.
Ability to operate state owned vehicles with a valid driver's license.

License/Certification Required


Essential Job Functions
Transport students, faculty, staff and University guests in State Owned vehicles. Safely and skillfully operates standard vehicles and/or equipment. Responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of passengers. Drives vehicles or operates equipment according to standard, established routes or set schedules. Accurately maintains standard mileage, cargo, and/or cash receipt records. Keeps vehicles or equipment clean, checks and maintains proper fluid levels. Immediately informs supervisor about problems with vehicles or equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position


Preferred Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience in the transportation industry. Must pass mandatory drug screening. Must have clean driving record.

Work Schedule/Hours: Varied schedule with some evenings and weekends required.
