Job Description:

The Department of Business & Economics at Salve Regina University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor with a start date of September 1, 2025.

This position is open to all fields of economics or areas of specialization. Candidates with background in applied microeconomics (including public economics, health economics, labor economics, industrial organization, and behavioral economics) are especially encouraged to apply. In addition, successful candidates will demonstrate teaching excellence and a strong ability to successfully mentor and advise undergraduate students.


Requirements:

A Doctoral degree in Economics or closely related field is required, as is successful college-level teaching experience. ABD applicants will be considered, but all degree requirements must be completed by August 2025. The university's teaching load is 3-4.

We seek a colleague who is committed to helping students build practical skills and whose pedagogy, research and/or experience will contribute to a curriculum that emphasizes experiential learning and integrates the university's Mercy mission.
