Central's curriculum provides students with unmatched flexibility as they launch their cybersecurity careers. Our distinctive approach allows students to gain a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles before specializing in either of the NSA Validated Programs of Study in Cyber Operations or Cyber Defense. Graduates can be confident in earning a nationally recognized degree that showcases excellence in their chosen specialization, regardless of the path they take. As a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) designated by the National Security Agency, Central is committed to fostering student success. The successful candidate will play a key role in further enhancing the academic excellence of the Computer Science and Cybersecurity programs by developing innovative curriculum, fostering a dynamic learning environment, and contributing to cutting-edge research. We also seek someone with the vision and expertise to help us build complementary Master's programs that extend upon the strengths of our undergraduate offerings. Responsibilities for this position include teaching, service, and engaging in research with a particular focus on cybersecurity. The department is especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate an ability to conduct research that bridges cybersecurity with other disciplines. This could include, but is not limited to, industrial control systems, manufacturing security, robotics security, the integration of cybersecurity with Artificial Intelligence (AI), or engineering challenges associated with Industry 4.0. These areas align well with CCSU's existing strengths and will allow for a rich collaborative research environment. This tenure-track role encompasses both undergraduate and graduate teaching, service on departmental and university committees, advising students, and conducting scholarly research. The regular teaching load is 12 hours per semester with some evening classes required. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body.
