Job Description:
The Program Evaluation Specialist is a key member of the College of Dental Medicine team. The Program Evaluator will plan, conduct, and report on program evaluation for the College of Dental Medicine, provide oversight to ensure programs compliance with University policy, HRSA requirements, and all other federal, state, and local laws, and regulations pertaining to the grant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct, and report on program evaluation, and related programmatic and administrative tasks, under the guidance of the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research and Project Manager, to ensure the achievement of program goals, objectives, and intended outcomes
- Assist Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research, Project Manager, HRSA project key personnel, staff, students, and partners with planning the program evaluation, implementation, and reporting, including the development of the work plan, scheduling, and data collection for evaluation
- Work with key project staff, partners, and stakeholders to collect data, secure transfer and storage of data, and collating, analyzing, and summarizing data for review, analysis, and reporting
- Provide reports to University leadership, HRSA, partners, students, and other stakeholders about compliance, progress, performance, and impacts of the program
- Provide oversight to ensure the program's compliance with University policy, HRSA's requirements, and all other federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the grant
- Research, develop, and implement creative approaches for the promotion of project outcomes to internal and external constituents, project partners, and stakeholders
- Thoroughly and accurately document time devoted to program evaluation using HRSA/University-mandated requirements, procedures, and accounting coding to ensure program costs are appropriately charged to the HRSA grant and non-allowable costs are not charged to the grant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, health education/promotion, or public health-related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Three years related experience, including experience with program planning and evaluation or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite required; experience with statistical software, relational databases, and program evaluation preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team exhibiting cultural competence/commitment to equity/inclusion
