The School of Nursing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) seeks a full time faculty member for a tenure-track position. The School of Nursing offers the BSN, MSN and DNP degrees in nursing and embraces the shared governance model as well as Boyer’s Model of scholarship.

Position: Assistant Professor, Tenure Track

Effective Date: January 1, 2022

This position will be a 12 month tenure earning position. The person must be doctorally prepared in Nursing or a related field by January 1, 2022.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach, advise and chair doctoral projects in the graduate program
  • Engage in scholarship activities
  • Participate in service to the School of Nursing, the University and/or profession
  • Assist in monitoring and supporting learner success and collaborate in the process of curriculum development and revision as needed
Qualifications
  • Doctoral preparation in Nursing or related field required
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Current certification as either an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) focusing on Adults and/or Geriatrics or Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
  • A minimum of two years experience as a practicing AGACNP
  • Experience teaching in an academic environment using both in class and online methodologies is strongly preferred.
