Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Part-time Specialist III, Campus Services has a general knowledge of functions and processes throughout the departments within the division of Student Success. This position acts a primary point of contact for general information to students as well as faculty and staff. Having a general understanding of the policies, processes, and procedures of various student services departments is vital to this position. In addition, this position will have a basic functional knowledge student services department functions and operations to support and guide students appropriately.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide exceptional customer service support to all individuals seeking assistance in Student Services.
- Offer general guidance and support to students in various Student Services departments including, but not limited to admissions, advising, dual credit, student records, testing, and financial aid.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries for various Student Services departments including, but not limited to admissions, advising, dual credit, student records, testing, and financial aid.
- Efficiently manage documents received by various Student Services departments, ensuring proper organization.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the most current policies, business processes, standard operation procedures, and terms and conditions pertaining to Student Services, staying updated on any changes or revisions.
- Assess and identify the appropriate course of action to resolve student conflicts pertaining to admissions applications, course scheduling, dual credit partnerships, degree plans, graduation, and student records, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Provide informative and comprehensive guidance to students, helping them navigate and thrive in a college environment.
- Attentively listen to student concerns and evaluate if they require assistance from other departments, ensuring appropriate referrals are made when necessary.
- Contribute to the operations of the campus during evening and weekend hours, which may involve addressing emergency needs of students, staff, and faculty to ensure a well-functioning environment.
- Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
- High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Hourly Pay Rate is $15.14
