Adjuncts are essential to Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ. It is expected that an adjunct member models a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University, engage in an active commitment to, and experience of, personal spiritual formation within a biblically informed Christian worldview. Adjuncts should view their teaching, engagement with students, and scholarship as a means to a significant educational end. They should strive to employ a variety of techniques for the development of good learning conditions, view each student as a unique individual, and insofar as it is possible, provide for individual differences, abilities, and interests.

This is a residential adjunct position. Class schedules will be determined on a semester basis by the department chair, associate dean and/or dean of school.

IESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
An adjunct faculty member:
- Teaches material from the approved curriculum in accordance with an assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction
- Assists students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes
- Provides regular and timely feedback to students
- Participates in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive conduct with students and by getting in touch with and offering assistance to absent students
- Motivates students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process
- Maintains and reports student grades and attendance in accordance with University policies, and
- Completes other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must have:
- An earned Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education.
- Superior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills.
- Creative, innovative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office and the Internet.
- If applicable, the ability to obtain and maintain licenses as required by state or accrediting commissions.
- Demonstrated strength in teaching at the college level.

- A commitment to producing Christ-centered men and women with values, knowledge, and skills necessary to impact tomorrow’s engineering and technology-related disciplines.
- Three or more years’ experience working or teaching in the field of Engineering that is relevant to one or more of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Computer, or Industrial and Systems Engineering
- Ph.D. in an Engineering discipline
