Applicants must have a PhD in developmental psychology or a related field.  Candidates whose research programs focus on childhood (infancy through adolescence) or older adults (including gerontology) are particularly encouraged to apply. Additional desirable attributes include: (1) a willingness to develop engaged-learning pedagogies, (2) a willingness to mentor and provide research opportunities for undergraduate psychology majors; (3) a research program that allows for collaborations with both departmental colleagues/faculty and faculty from other departments, (4) an orientation towards challenging themselves, their students, and their colleagues to be actively anti-racist and work toward greater diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession, and (5) A desire to be part of the departmental and university communities by participating in service activities at and beyond the university.

The initial review of applications will begin on September 3, 2024, and conclude on September 30, 2024. Letters of recommendation are due no later than September 20, 2024. Questions regarding this position can be directed by email to Dr. Vandana Thadani, Search Committee Chair at DevPsy@lmu.edu.
