Description
Vincennes University is seeking applicants for the Graphic Design & Content Specialist position. This is a full-time professional staff position located at the VU Main site. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating visually appealing and impactful designs that align with our brand identity across various platforms. This role combines creativity and technical skills to produce high-quality content for digital and broadcast media. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of design principles, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and design various materials for digital and broadcast, including but not limited to social media graphics, broadcast graphics, website banners, email templates, and promotional products.
- Develop and maintain a consistent brand identity across all visual content.
- Collaborate with the station team to conceptualize and execute projects.
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas for feedback and approval.
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, on-brand, and delivered on time.
- Develop and edit content for digital platforms, including websites, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with station team members to produce cohesive & engaging content.
- Create video content and animations as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in design, content creation, and audience habits.
- Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, Broadcasting/Media, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design and content creation
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and branding.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing strategies.
