This is a part-time position. Monday through Friday- 20 hours total.

Manages the day-to-day operations of a small or medium-sized university program or department. May supervise staff employees, student workers, programs or processes.

  1. Plans and develops procedures for administering a small or medium-sized department or program.
  2. Oversees program expenditures and ensures adherence to budget.
  3. Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
  4. May prepare or participate in the creation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
  5. Reviews reports of budgets and activities.
  6. Prepares ad hoc reports as needed.
  7. May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations.
  8. Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
  9. May serve as property custodian for the department.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Part-Time Case Manager for Veteran Services AIMS (Academic Integration for Military-Affiliated Scholars) is responsible for implementing and overseeing a comprehensive program aimed at enhancing the academic integration, social integration, and institutional integration of military-affiliated scholars within the university community. This position operates within the framework of Vincent Tinto's Student Integration Model, focusing on strategies to promote student persistence and success among military-affiliated scholars.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Social Integration:

· Coordinate and facilitate opportunities for military-affiliated scholars to engage socially with peers, faculty, and other members of the college community.

· Collaborate with Student Veterans of America (SVA) to organize educational forums and meet-and-greet events.

· Partner with other campus divisions to promote social integration through involvement in extracurricular activities and campus organizations.

· Develop and implement a targeted communication plan to keep military-affiliated scholars informed about relevant campus events and resources.

2. Academic Integration:

· Connect military-affiliated scholars with academic peer mentors within their respective majors to provide support and guidance.

· Ensure military-affiliated scholars are aware of and utilize academic support services, including tutoring resources and academic advising.

· Facilitate access to academic resources within their colleges and assist in the development of effective study skills and strategies.

3. Institutional Integration:

· Conduct orientation sessions tailored to military-affiliated scholars, highlighting campus resources and support services.

· Provide personalized, one-on-one advisor appointments to familiarize scholars with Veteran Services and available resources.

· Collaborate with campus organizations to create inclusive and supportive environments that foster a sense of belonging and connection to the institution.





Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, or related field (Master's preferred).

Experience working with military-affiliated populations or in higher education/student affairs.

Knowledge of Vincent Tinto's Student Integration Model and its application in promoting student success.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling.

The position may require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate events or meetings.
