POSITION SUMMARY:
The part-time faculty member (rank commensurate with experience) within the Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) Program is primarily responsible for didactic, laboratory, and simulation course instruction. It is expected that a faculty member will be effective in the areas of course design, course delivery, and evaluation. The faculty member is instrumental in assisting the program to ensure that students consistently meet the program’s Student Learning Outcomes to achieve the competencies required for AA practice. The faculty member is guided by the Program Director and will assist the program with curriculum assessment to meet the Accreditation Review Committee for Anesthesiologist Assistants (ARC-AA) Standards.
The part-time faculty member works no more than 30 hours per week with an assigned teaching workload according to department needs as defined in the Faculty Supplement.
