Position Summary

The Department of Management in the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position at the lecturer level, beginning August 2025. The teaching load is eight courses per academic year. The position is renewable based on performance and promotion to Senior Lecturer is possible after six years of service.

We seek individuals who can provide high quality instruction at the undergraduate and MBA levels within the supply chain and operations management area with broad teaching interests in operations management, supply chain, supply chain analytics, service operations, project management, and other operations/supply chain topics, as needed. The successful candidate will also be proactively involved in departmental service and undergraduate or master student mentoring. The candidate will serve as a link between academics and Operations and Supply Chain in practice. This may include activities such as consulting, business professional organizations, or other material interaction with outside entities.

Terminal or Master’s degree in the discipline (See Additional Requirements).

Additional Requirements

If not terminally degree qualified, at a minimum, a Master’s degree with 5 or more years of private- or public-sector work experience in service operations, supply chain and operations management or related areas is required. Candidates with a master’s degree must document exceptional accomplishments in service operations, supply chain and operations management or a related area and must be approved for a terminal degree exception before hire. One or more years of teaching experience in the form of classroom instruction or corporate training and development is preferred. Evidence of successful teaching experience or corporate training is required in the form of student surveys/evaluations, peer evaluations, or annual reviews; research is not a consideration.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification

Candidates with a Ph.D. in Operations and Supply Chain Management discipline, or related areas, from an AACSB accredited institution or international equivalent are preferred.

One or more years of teaching experience in the form of classroom instruction or corporate training and development is preferred.
