We are currently seeking to fill our Senior Coordinator of Alumni-Student Engagement position at the Georgia campus with a highly qualified and passionate individual.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Coordinator of Alumni-Student Engagement reports to the Director, Advancement Engagement and is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive program of events and outreach activities to provide career and professional development resources to students and to build connections between alumni and students from all PCOM programs.

The Senior Coordinator of Alumni-Student Engagement will work independently and as a member of the Institutional Advancement team and coordinate their activities with those of other units in Institutional Advancement (IA) and other units at PCOM. They will coordinate their alumni and student activities with other campus efforts and promote traditions and pride associated with PCOM for all alumni and current students. The development of strong relationships with student leaders and student affairs and the development of programs that utilize alumni expertise to support students will be key goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful incumbent will perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodations:

Student Engagement
• Oversees initiatives that develop and sustain student engagement and support the transition of students to being engaged alumni at the Georgia locations, including:
o Building strategic relationships with student government presidents, student club leaders, and student affairs staff from all programs and campuses through regular meetings and contact
o Ordering and distributing gifts and giveaways to students, including alumni pins and white coat patches
o Coordinating IA Resource Tables during lunch hours on each campus to inform students about mentoring and financial resources offered by IA
o Connecting student organizations with alumni to speak at club meetings and events
o Assisting with coordination of Virtual Mock Residency Interview Program and other PCOM Pillars alumni volunteer initiatives.

Event Planning
• Responsible for planning and execution aspects of in-person and virtual student events for all programs in Georgia. These responsibilities include but are not limited to securing vendors and executing contracts, overseeing event logistics, and coordinating with alumni volunteers and student leaders. Events include but are not limited to the following:
o New Student Welcome Parties
o Student Exam Snack Breaks
o Virtual Alumni-Student Speaker Series
o Virtual Specialty Speed Rounds DO Alumni-Student Networking Event
o Alumni Panels for PCOM’s Graduate Programs
• Analyzes data and feedback from past events to implement new events and initiate changes for existing events.
• Assists with planning alumni-specific events, including Reunion and Founders Day
• Registers alumni and students for events, assembles registration and RSVP lists, name badges, and coordinates other event needs for IA events
• Attends in-person and virtual events organized by IA

Communications
• Manages and creates email and print communications as well as online registration for all alumni-student events and initiatives by collaborating with Director, Advancement Engagement to develop timelines and content.
• Assists with alumni website content updates and other email communications as needed.
• Monitors the alumni phone line and email

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience with events, communications, and alumni relations and/or student relations is required, preferably within an institution of higher education.
• Experience and comfort working with diverse communities and interacting with a variety of constituencies, include alumni, staff, students, volunteers, guest speakers, donors, etc.
• Knowledge of GSuite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, GoogleMeet, and other virtual meeting platforms is required.
• Experience using Anthology’s Encompass and/or web content management programs and email marketing platforms is a plus.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• A driver’s license is required .
• The ability to work evenings and weekends. Travel is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Impeccable attention to detail and proven organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $52,000

The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
