Job Details
The Business Administration Division of Pepperdine University’s Seaver College seeks a candidate with an earned Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field for a tenure-track position beginning Fall 2025. Applicants must complete all requirements for the Ph.D. degree before August 1, 2025. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching with strong technical skills that will enable them to conduct quality academic research. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to teach one or more of the following subject areas: financial accounting (introductory and intermediate level), cost and managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, or accounting information systems. Prior teaching experience and work experience are preferable, but not required.
The business program at Seaver College is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). US News and World Report ranks Pepperdine University in the top 76 colleges and universities in the country. We have approximately 890 undergraduate students in the Business Administration Division. Despite a large number of majors, our classes are small (rarely more than 30 students) and our faculty is collegial and collaborative. The division offers Bachelor of Science degree programs in accounting, business administration, finance, and international business and several minors. The salary for this appointment will range from $145,000 to $160,000 and reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment.
