Position Purpose
This position will assist in research on early childhood and inequality. Current projects include: a mixed-methods study of the connections between neighborhood change and investments in private child care centers; a study of racialized messages in children’s picture books; a study of how teachers and administrators experience a segregated child care market. Research assistant can be an author on research papers or briefs depending on their interest.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp
Masters plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Two or more years of research experience related to early childhood, families, or race & racism
- Has completed two graduate level courses in statistics
- Proficient in Stata
- Emerging proficiency with a qualitative coding software such as Atlas.ti
- Substantive research interests that overlap with current projects
