The Recruitment Specialist works under the direction of the Director, School of Public and Global Affairs School and the Executive Director of Lifelong Learning, and collaborates with SPGA and School of Professional Studies staff members, program managers, coordinators, faculty and advisors. The incumbent is principally responsible for recruiting students to the University undergraduate degree completion programs (AA, AS, and BAIS) and to a suite of master's programs related to administration: Public Administration (MPA), Administrative Science (MAS), Homeland Security (MSCHSA) and Global Studies (M.A. Global Studies) as well as non-credit professional development seminars.Responsibilities include representing and promoting the University to prospective students, public and private sector employees, professional organizations, and other specific target groups associated with the University's many degree programs. The incumbent coordinates with the Offices of Enrollment Management, Graduate Admissions, and Branding and Marketing to optimize enrollment goals and strategies for reaching them. The recruitment specialist is expected to travel, expand professional contacts, follow up with student prospects, and represent the University at job fairs, conventions, and professional meetings.
