Summary:
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Planning and Research (IEPR) upholds the college's culture of inquiry and evidence-informed decision-making and partners with all areas of the college to identify strategic opportunities and advance efforts toward achieving institutional excellence.
Under the direction of the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Planning and Research, the Research Analyst is responsible for managing institutional reporting processes and completing research, collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of data statistics to support the IEPR mission.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with emphasis in statistics, psychology, economics, education, social sciences, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of career experience performing educational, social, or market research analytics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word; and SPSS
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Workday, etc.)
- Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Familiarity with state and federal economic, population, and educational data sources
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to adapt to competing and shifting priorities.

Summary of Essential Functions:
Project and Process Management (65%)
1) Support the department in fulfilling its institutional research and decision support functions by completing ad-hoc data requests and standard projects from design to reporting as assigned.
2) Support the department in fulfilling its compliance function by assisting in the preparation and checking of data for state and federal reports, regional accreditation requirements, and other compliance-related activities.
3) Support the department in fulfilling its assessment and evaluation functions by assisting with the design, administration, and analysis of survey and focus group research, course evaluations, and program evaluation activities.
4) Support the department in fulfilling its continuous improvement function by assisting with data and research components of CLC’s department review processes and other institutional initiatives.
5) Write reports and prepare presentations, including visually appealing and informative statistical tables, charts, and graphs, for various audiences to facilitate the communication of research findings to college stakeholders.
6) Assist in the development and documentation of research and data methodologies and processes.
7) Verify the quality and accuracy of data and reports prepared by other members of the IEPR team.
Technology Support (10%)
1) Support the department in fulfilling its data function by helping to maintain data technology tools and software and conducting data validation and quality assurance activities as needed.
2) Support all department functions by analyzing data using Excel, SPSS, the College’s data warehouse, College’s ERP system, and other technology tools in relation to qualitative and quantitative research activities; manage large datasets.
Student/Customer Service (15%)
1) Provide consultative and technical assistance to college stakeholders (i.e., individuals, committees, project teams) on research design, statistical tools, analytical methods and software, and interpretation of research findings.
2) Communicate with stakeholders who request data from IEPR on project status and timeline.
3) Contribute to a collaborative culture at the college through active participation on committees and project teams in support of college initiatives.
Other (10%)
1) Collaborate with IEPR leadership on strategies to enhance departmental process and practices.
2) Support IEPR leadership in activities related to compliance and planning functions of the department.
3) Perform other related duties as assigned.
