Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
The successful candidate is expected to teach core courses in the Department’s academic degree programs, have an active research agenda that includes potential for a strong publication record, and a commitment to mentoring of students.
Educational Requirements for the Position
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related academic field.
Experience Required for the Position
Preferred area(s) of specialization are Policing, Juvenile Justice & Delinquency, or Corrections with primary consideration given to candidates who demonstrate the capacity to work with agencies and contribute to the Department’s educational missions, research productivity requirements, and service activities.
