The Office of Access & Equity provides leadership to the University’s efforts to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment. The primary purpose of the Administrative Assistant is to act as the primary triage point for all in-person and telephone communications. This employee will be instrumental in answering questions relative to University policy and office procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Providing primary office management functions for office staff
- Updating/maintaining the office’s website
- Assisting with the design and production of all office materials, including brochures and display boards.
- Assisting with a range of compliance-related administrative tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Basic understanding of Sex-Based misconduct including sexual assault, domestic violence, sexual harassment, stalking, and gender-based discrimination
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Excellent organizational skills
- Capacity for multi-tasking, prioritizing, and functioning as a part of a team
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years experience in an office setting
- Experience working with a budget in an office setting
- Experience communicating with people in distress
- Experience working in a Higher Education setting
- Strong organizational skills
Work Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00-5:00 p.m.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $31,200-$34,368
