Job Description

Design, develop, and maintain a variety of complex reports and dashboards using Workday, Tableau or other tools as required.

 

Collaborate with stakeholders across the university to identify reporting requirements and deliver customized data insights that provide critical insights for decision-making.

 

Provide training and support to users on reporting best practices, utilization and, navigation to enhancing data literacy across the campus.

 

Participate in the development of policies and procedures to streamline the reporting process and ensure compliance with data governance and privacy policies, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and security.

 

Stay abreast of the latest trends and updates and participate in the evaluation and implementation of new data management and reporting tools and technologies.

 

Support and mentor team members and clients as appropriate in Workday reporting best practices, Workday object oriented architecture and touchpoints. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree earned by date of hire and 2+ years of relevant work experience OR
  • Associate's degree earned by date of hire and 4+ years of relevant work experience OR
  • 6+ years of relevant experience

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business/Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong experience working with Workday Report Writer developing advanced reports including Discovery Boards, Dashboard, Matrix and Composites, Worksheets and supporting Calculated Fields. 
  • Experience with Workday reports with a strong understanding Workday Business Objects and Data Sources and working knowledge of the following: Foundational Data Model (FDM), Student, HCM, Payroll or Finance.
  • Working knowledge of data security concepts, applicable data privacy practices and the concept of least access. 
  • Experience working with other analytical tools and languages, including Tableau, R, SQL and Python
  • Workday or Tableau certification a plus.
  • Ability to work with and develop in Workday PRISM a plus.
