The University of Arkansas seeks applications for the position of Assistant Professor / R0058786. The Assistant Professor - 9 Month includes teaching primarily in the area of multiplatform journalism in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and weekend formats. Faculty will be expected to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and the community, teach courses as assigned, have an active research/creative work agenda, and participate in university and community service. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Required Qualifications:  Terminal degree (PhD, EDD, JD, MFA) in multiplatform journalism or a related field. ABD or AB thesis considered.

Preferred Qualifications:  College teaching experience in multiplatform journalism and/or related field, Industry experience (journalism and/or related field), Student supervisory experience, Research/creative activity related to the discipline and consistent with departmental focus and needs, Experience with industry-standard software and equipment.
