Job Description
The Biology and Chemistry Department at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) seeks to hire a Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry for the 2024-2025 academic year. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about teaching and service. Visiting Assistant Professors at TAMIU receive a standard load of 15 credit hours a semester which may be reduced contingent upon needs and approvals. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace. Biology and Chemistry is searching for candidates who have a robust commitment to hands-on undergraduate biology education.

Required Qualifications:
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry, or a related discipline. The research specialty is open, however a background in biochemistry would be beneficial. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Experience as a teaching assistant will be considered.
