Marketing Operations Manager (Remote) - Champlain College Online
The Opportunity
Champlain College Online is looking for a change agent to help us build a foundation for exponential growth and off-the-charts effectiveness.
The marketing operations manager is a key team member focusing on marketing performance, operational excellence, systems effectiveness, and project management.
The ideal candidate will be an adept project manager who can optimize content marketing strategies; act as the knowledge manager for our operational information and marketing content; successfully build cross-functional buy-in for projects; conceptualize, create, and socialize new policies, practices, and processes with an eye for scalability and growth; and utilize data to derive actionable insights that address key objectives.
Reporting to the executive director of marketing and enrollment management, the marketing operations manager works closely with enrollment management, the business insight analyst, the assistant director of admissions and enrollment operations, the associate director of marketing, the assistant director of marketing, and other stakeholders across the division and the college to ensure marketing strategies are optimized to take full advantage of organic sources of enrollment.
The person who fills this role will focus on incremental improvements to how we do what we do, supporting the team with documentation assistance, project management, knowledge management, and marketing support. This is a new, remote, position that will help shape the future success of Champlain College Online.
How You'll Contribute
- Collect, curate, manage, and distribute marketing content such as academic program profiles, news stories, and digital assets to internal stakeholders
- Manage and administer a project management software solution for marketing enrollment initiatives; cultivate adoption and buy-in for project management and a systematic approach to completing projects on time and budget
- Create, maintain, and own operations documentation; assist team members with creating process documentation
- Standardize data and information management practices, including developing a comprehensive data management policy
- Partner with the Information Services (IT) team to manage and maintain the connection between Salesforce, TargetX, and Pardot?ensuring high data quality, expedited lead flow, and optimal campaign tracking
- In collaboration with the business insights analyst, monitor, analyze, and derive actionable insights from response and engagement metrics to refine marketing strategy and improve performance
- Implement processes and policies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of information across all enrollment channels
- Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing performance in collaboration with the Information Services (IT) team
- Position the marketing team to fully capitalize on evolving AI technologies such as chatbots and AI-generated marketing asset production by implementing an appropriate knowledge management strategy
- Assist in the administration of a content calendar to ensure the timely delivery of content and coordinated marketing efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in marketing efforts
- Stay informed about current marketing trends and best practices
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing and operations
- Proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Tableau, PowerBI, Salesforce, Lightcast, SEMRush, or other reporting tools
- Proficiency with project management tools
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus and effect change in a matrixed environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills, proven ability to handle multiple projects and deliver results
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management within marketing contexts
- Higher education experience, and specifically online education experience is preferred but not required
