POSITION SUMMARY
This position is a member of the Development Services team in the division of Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE). As such, serves to implement system functionality, data storage and reporting practices that support the overall activities of the division using proven methodologies, tools and technologies.
Serves as a subject matter expert in DAE systems and the flow of data amongst those systems for accurate updates and reporting strategies. Works with Information Services (IS) and other campus partners regarding data accuracy and integration processes that adhere to campus data governance policies.
Manipulates data to Identify trends and opportunities in support of fundraising and engagement programs as well as the overall strategic direction of DAE.
Design, test, and implement visualizations and reports that synthesize complex data into actionable intelligence and informs strategy.

Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in related functions. Five years’ experience in developing affinity groups, development, and higher education is highly desired. Understanding of and experience in using fundraising and alumni engagement systems.
Communication/Language: Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Google applications, and understanding and experience in using fundraising and alumni engagement systems.

- Utilize structured programming and tools for data access and information analysis and reporting.

- Manage documentation and storage of process documents and standard operating procedures
- Implement new system functionality as well as providing strategic direction for data analytics and business intelligence purposes.
- Fulfill reporting requirements from the database in support of the development and alumni engagement efforts on behalf of the University using relevant tools and methodologies to accomplish tasks.
- Develop innovative data analysis solutions.
- Use predictive models, data mining, and other advanced techniques to support business strategy and address business opportunities.
- Clearly conveys methods and outcomes to a variety of audiences through visualization, dashboards, reports, presentations, and other communications.
