Description

The Associate Director of Athletics Development is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Crusader Athletics Fund (CAF) and overseeing the development and implementation of the athletics annual giving strategy to support the College’s 27 varsity sports.

The Associate Director of Athletics Development, in collaboration with the Director of Athletics Development and the annual giving team, is responsible for leading initiatives focused on athletics annual giving and monitoring and reporting on progress toward the annual CAF goal. This position must work closely with Advancement fundraisers in Individual Giving, Annual and Parent Giving, and key partners in the athletics department, including the Associate Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, athletics administration and head coaches, to meet sport-specific annual fundraising goals.
  • Leads the planning and execution of the athletics annual giving, stewardship and fundraising and engagement events strategy to support and strengthen the department’s financial foundation by increasing philanthropy to CAF
  • Manage portfolio of annual leadership gift prospects for athletics between $10,000 - $100,000 moving prospects through the donor cycle and developing pipeline for athletics major gifts
  • Develop sport-specific annual fundraising, communication and events plan in partnership with head coaches and athletics administration to meet department and sport-specific fundraising goals
  • Partner with Associate Director for Annual Giving Communications to develop an annual solicitation plan for CAF, including direct mail, phone, email and giving days.
  • Coordinate and support the work of the CAF Co-Chairs and sport-specific fundraising volunteer committees and respective annual giving pipelines in partnership with the Director of Athletic Development

  • Reporting to Director of Athletics Development/Associate Athletics Director for Development


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of post-college experience, preferably in a development setting or equivalent.
  • Ability to work as an integral member of the advancement team, with a focus on athletics fundraising priorities.
