Position Purpose
The Assistant Athletics Director of Video & Creative Strategy will execute the comprehensive visual storytelling of Dartmouth College Athletics and Recreation Department ( DCARD ). Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Media Strategy and Brand Advancement, this position will play a critical role in capturing, creating and producing visual/video assets that tell the stories of Dartmouth Athletics to further the recruitment of prospective student-athletes, enhances fan engagement, promotes DCARD competitions and illustrates Dartmouth College and Dartmouth Athletics’ distinctions within the Ivy League. This position will have a heavy emphasis placed on high-quality video storytelling and other visual content for DCARD . The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in creative content production, cinematic video content, digital media, and team management.

Bachelors plus 6 or more years' experience or combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- 6 Years relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in sport marketing, sport management, athletic administration, communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) and other content creation tools.
- Exceptional storytelling and visual communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of sports and the ability to anticipate and capture key moments.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a creative team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to cover athletic events.
- 1-2 Years of supervisory or management experience.
- Master’s degree.
- Two or more years of experience with an NCAA college athletic program.
- Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations as they pertain to content and communications.
- Knowledge of NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations.

Description
Content Creation
- Develop and implement a 12-month comprehensive creative storytelling strategy, highlighted with effective video, that aligns with the overall goals and brand of the Athletics Department.
- Direct the creation and execution of multimedia content, including graphics, videos, photography for social media, websites, and other digital platforms.
- Create a wide-array of videos including but not limited to: highlight/interview packages, behind-the-scenes features, student-athlete profiles, long-form stories, other feature content, social media content, branded content, fan engagement videos, and other various departmental videos.
- Video storytelling and crafting a compelling narrative through multimedia (i.e., social, website, and broadcasting.)
- Educate, train, and manage coaches, staff, and student-athletes on the Digital Asset Management platform (i.e., Photoshelter) and corresponding Content Creation Platform (i.e., Slate Team)
- Coordinate the timeline, production, and execution of content for game day coverage, promotional campaigns, special events, and athlete features.
- Develop and produce high-quality, cinematic video content for promotional and marketing purposes, capturing the dynamic and engaging nature of the athletic department’s events and programs.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure innovative and effective content.
- Produce engaging and compelling multimedia content (video, photography, and graphics) to promote Dartmouth Athletics across various platforms, including social media, the official website, and promotional materials.
- Record and capture content of Dartmouth College athletic events, including but not limited to, practices, games, and special events.
- Conduct interviews with athletes, coaches, and staff to create in-depth features and promotional videos.
- Ensure all content is high-quality, brand-consistent, and delivered on time.
- Edit multimedia content to create polished, professional, and visually appealing content, while adhering to the overall visual identity, style and brand of DCARD .
- Plan and execute individual team multimedia shoots, specialty multimedia shoots, athletic event coverage and the distribution and archiving of all digital assets through the department Digital Asset Management platform.

Administration & Collaboration
- Lead, manage, and develop all full-time creative content team members while working in conjunction with the creative football staff.
- Work in conjunction with the Assistant Director – Creative Content – Multimedia to oversee student creative staff.
- Collaborate with coaches, student-athletes, Dartmouth College Communications, and other stakeholders to gather content ideas and provide creative support.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all creative content needs within the Athletics Department.
- Work closely with all departments within athletics and the college to align multimedia content with departmental strategic goals and ensure cohesive and integrated content strategies.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Collaborate with all DCARD staff to develop creative concepts for multimedia projects that showcase the personal stories and behind-the-scenes aspects of Dartmouth Athletics.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness and reach of content, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
- Use data-driven insights to refine and improve content strategies and engagement.
