Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Building & Grounds Manager, this position is responsible for facilities work across all Division of Intercollegiate Athletic buildings and grounds, including the Kohl Center, LaBahn Arena, Goodman Complex, Porter Boat House, and McClimon Complex.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting with the management, maintenance, repair, and care of all building systems, as well as locker rooms, restrooms, offices, therapy pools, meeting rooms, concession areas, scoreboard equipment, and other building accessories.
- Assisting with project management
- Organizing project specifications and contacting vendors
- Troubleshooting issues
- Performing facility inspections
- Touch-up patching and painting
- Repairing flooring surfaces
- Moving furniture and other items
- Equipment repairs
- Door and railing repairs

This position will also provide facilities event support for Men's Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball, Softball, Soccer, WIAA and special high school events, concerts, graduations, and other events. Additional maintenance duties include snow removal and lawn care as needed.

Responsibilities: Inspects, maintains, and repairs specialized equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards and to prevent further damage. Assists with construction, design and operational maintenance as needed.
  • 25% Utilizes specialized equipment to repair and maintain complex machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation
  • 30% Performs routine and non-routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness
  • 25% Troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and procedures
  • 10% Receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries independently to appropriate entities
  • 10% Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by staffing needs and events.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Additional Information:

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% University Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
