Tenure- Track Assistant Professor of Earth and Environmental Geoscience

The Department of Earth and Environmental Geoscience at Washington and Lee University , Lexington, VA seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor starting in Fall 2025. The department and university have a strong desire to enhance diversity and we enthusiastically welcome applications from members of groups underrepresented in the geosciences. We seek a dynamic, creative teacher/scholar, dedicated to effective teaching and able to develop a vibrant research program that includes collaboration with undergraduates. We are open to a broad range of candidates with disciplinary expertise in surface processes. The successful candidate will teach a course on GIS as well as courses in their disciplinary area at the majors level, as well as introductory courses to support the university’s new General Education curriculum.
