Administrative Faculty Program Associate

Central Connecticut State University invites applications for a full-time Administrative Faculty Program Associate to join the Department of Art & Design. This is an entry level position in which the successful candidate will perform a variety of basic operational duties of a unit or program or provide support in the performance of more complex duties assigned to employees by a higher grade. We seek applicants who exhibit a positive attitude and maintain a strong aptitude to learn.

About CCSU’s Department of Art & Design

The Department of Art & Design, housed in the Carol A. Ammon College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, supports graduate and undergraduate programs in Art, Art Education, and Graphic/Information Design. Its facilities are housed in the R.C. Vance Academic Center and James J. Maloney Hall. The latter serves as the location for the Samuel S. T. Chen Fine Arts Center.

Position Profile

The Administrative Faculty Program Associate will serve as a primary connection point for students and faculty in the department’s Vance Academic Center facilities, reporting to the Department Chairperson. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations in computer labs, promote student success, facilitate promotion of departmental initiatives and events, and in other areas as needed; collecting, analyzing, and maintaining data, databases and other record keeping, as well as preparing and presenting reports.

Education:



All applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Experience and Training:

Two (2) years of professional experience in the performance of entry level administrative duties

Note: Graduate Intern and/or Graduate Assistant experience in the area of study and/or practice of the designated unit and/or program shall be prorated as appropriate.

Substitution Allowed: Successful completion of an approved Administrative Faculty Trainee program shall substitute for minimal qualifications.

Ideal Candidate

Preference will be given to applicants with the following:

Demonstrated experience with computer applications related to art and design, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Excel, and the Mac OS on Apple computers.

Compensation and Employee Benefits

The Administrative Faculty Program Associate is compensated at the Administrator II salary level in accordance with the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF) Collective Bargaining Union Agreement.
