Job Description
Montgomery College, Central Services Campus, has an immediate need for a FT Director of Enterprise Services in the Office of Information Technology. The work schedule is 5 days/40 hours a week. This is a Non-Bargaining, Exempt, grade 39 position. Montgomery College promotes and creates a working and learning environment rooted in the basic tenets of fairness, diversity, and inclusiveness. This position is currently eligible for telework 1 day a week. This eligibility is subject to change based on the needs of the unit.
The Director of Enterprise Services will provide executive level leadership for the IT Resource Enterprise Application Services team which includes approximately 40 full-time employees and approximately ten contractors. He/she/they will Lead the strategic vision and execution of the College's ERP systems, integrations, data warehouses and the web applications team. The Director will collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, prioritize projects, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Works closely with executives to lead, direct, and support efforts to identify, test, plan, deliver, and maintain new and emerging Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technologies for the College. Identifies problems, troubleshoots issues, and provides solutions.
- Defines and develops strategic and operational direction and plans to meet the College short-term and long-term requirements.
- Executes and communicates strategy throughout the organization and ensures alignment with objectives; tracks progress and identifies threats to the College as well as College opportunities.
- Develops, articulates, and promulgates operating policies and procedures in order to attain College goals; establishes and coordinates responsibilities and procedures.
- Ensures service to students and strategically deploy institutional resources to meet the College’s goals which meet the students’ needs to include directing the maintenance and implementation of numerous articulation agreements; and, assists in the resolution of particular issues and other matters affecting the college, faculty, staff and students.
- Manages, mentors, and trains, managers and staff; plans ongoing professional development for members of assigned area of responsibility.
- Evaluates personnel and assesses human resource needs within the workgroup; communicates among staff to increase their knowledge, understanding, and awareness of the College external issues and activities that are relevant to their work.
- Recommends actions regarding hiring, retention, and job assignments;
- Reviews and approves requests for budgetary expenditures; leads special projects and assignments, and task-forces and, serves as a senior advisor.
- Represents the College and coordinates, participates and provides leadership in meetings with representatives from various organizations and agencies;
- Represents the College and the College executive on various internal and external committees and at special events; develops, manages, and crystallizes partnerships within College and with corporations and governmental agencies; oversees the development and execution of major events;
- coordinates, promotes, encourages, and conducts advocacy, outreach and/or communication activities as appropriate; and, composes and delivers speeches, representing the College, College President and/or College executives.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, or a related field
- Seven years of experience managing ERP systems and applications.
- Three years of experience supervising or leading professional staff.
- The equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
