Adjunct Instructor – Culinary
EOC-ADJ-Culinary Arts F2024

Please Note: In order to be considered an applicant for this position you must meet the minimum qualifications as stated in this announcement. HVCC does not support visa applications. Applicants must currently hold an unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

Description of Vacant Position:

To conduct classes in the theory and practice of all aspects of food preparation and catering. Skill areas include: cold food production, deserts, yeast breads and quick breads, soups, stocks and sauces, hot food production, bistro style cooking, special events and catering, and breakfast cookery. The instructor may be asked to do special events outside of the EOC.

Minimum Qualifications : Applicants must possess and Associate’s degree or appropriate educational credits, certifications, or experience to enable satisfactory performance and instruction in the designated area of culinary; four years of relevant professional experience; two years of supervisory and/or teaching experience; and, demonstrated proficiency in computer skills.
Assignments may be during the morning, afternoon or evening and would be located in our Troy, NY location.

Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Prior culinary arts teaching experience preferred.

The hourly rate for Adjunct Instructor is $44.00.
