Pay Rate: $52,350 $65,060/per year. Pay will be determined based on related work experience above required. To be considered in determining pay, all related work experience must be listed on the application.

Position Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to promote and facilitate student recruitment, enrollment and participation in credit bearing study abroad programs through the TBR endorsed Tennessee Consortium for International Studies.
Essential Functions:
15% Manage portions of the TnCIS Website including web content, forms, portals (member, faculty and student), and online student application.
10% Visit TBR institutions to promote programs through study abroad fairs and to meet with campus representatives during the fall and spring semester- in person and virtually.
15% Execute final review and acceptance of all student applications year-round.
20% Deliver comprehensive support for the entire study abroad program life cycle, including advising students from all TBR institutions on program and course selection, tracking fee payments, and collaborating with PSCC financial aid, business, and records offices to support student enrollment.
5% Coordinate virtual student program pre-departure orientation sessions.
20% Coordinate airfare for all programs, including quotes and schedules for all groups and individual tickets.
5% Serve as a program director or staff member for various programs, provide backup on-call support for emergencies during non-business hours. Other duties as assigned.
10% Manage the annual state-wide International Education Conference, including venue and meal selection, securing keynote speaker, conference RFP proposals, and all logistics.

Key Results Areas: Uninterrupted access of up-to-date, reliable information through the TnCIS website. Customer satisfaction for all clients served (students, parents, faculty, and administrators). Consistent growth of student participation through effective recruitment methods. Fully paid student fees reported and collected in collaboration with TnCIS accountant.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in International or Communication Field; Certificates and training through Forum for Education Abroad, NAFSA or AIE.
3 – 5 years of experience in International Education in a college or university (Study Abroad or International Student Fields). 1 year Website/Database experience required. Previous study abroad experience as a student or faculty, notary commission required.
Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.

Magnitude of Impact: The responsibilities of the TnCIS staff are similar in scope to that of a small university. There is recruitment, application, acceptance, payment, academic, student life, classroom, and learning phases to every academic year study abroad programming cycle. Employees in this office are dynamic, multidisciplinary, flexible, and creative individuals. The Program Coordinator is integral to the success of the TnCIS organization which impacts individuals not only at PSCC but across the state and the world.
Responsibility for Accuracy: Accuracy is essential for posting student fee payments and grade reporting, as program viability decisions rely on student enrollment and fee payment data. Errors can have significant financial impacts and affect long-term planning for the consortium which heavily relies on program enrollment to inform strategic planning for program locations, courses, and terms (fall, spring, summer).
Financial Impact: The program coordinator is held responsible for logging application and program fees paid by students from over 35 different institutions. Weekly reports are necessary for accuracy.
Budgetary: Position may be consulted in budgetary discussion, but does not have any direct budgetary responsibilities.
Judgement and Decisions: The coordinator is responsible for execution of all website content updates and visual modifications without direct/immediate approval from the director. Weekly staff meetings allow the executive director an opportunity to make suggestions or become informed of activities that require their direct involvement or approval. The coordinator has direct access to the executive director at any time decisions or advice is required prior to execution of the job functions. This employee is also responsible for being the secondary “on call” emergency contact for TnCIS during all program terms. This includes spring, summer and fall. The nature of these interactions can involve but is not limited to minor issues such as lost ATM cards or major issues such as injured students in need of immediate medical assistance.
Nature of Contacts: Interaction with TBR institutions involves organization of promotion/recruitment efforts, program development and logistical arrangements for meetings/orientations. Student and administrator contact is related to recruitment, application process, payment policies, required paperwork, meetings, course registration, and general inquiries.
Physical Demands: The role primarily involves typical physical demands for office work, but also requires significant travel. This includes in-state travel to TnCIS member institutions for recruiting events during the fall and spring semesters, as well as international travel assignments lasting 1-3 weeks. International travel involves managing logistics, attending conferences, and coordinating study abroad programs, which can be physically demanding due to long flights, irregular schedules, and navigating new environments. Employer must meet EEOC policies/requirements.
Hazards: Some exposure/possibility for physical injury or illness related to required travel. In some cases, vaccines may be recommended or required for travel.
